Snow in Georgia-Rachel Holbert Jones
This is Georgia.....and my Panther Truck.....it has been raining/snowing for almost 5 hours now. My family/friends all laughed & said you're only going to get a few flurries. I was at the Pilot (it was full of power trucks, etc. gearing up for the weather) and the guy next to me (he's a regular, lives with his wife in their SUV, had to move bc they were putting orange cones in many of the parking spots) moves to the opposite side of me & I could barely open my door w/o banging his truck/my door & I wanted coffee at my favorite Marathon (this family owned place makes such good coffee I don't even need sweetener). After leaving the Marathon I realize maybe this wasn't such a good idea but I went to a FlyingJ truck stop only slightly farther. They have a bigger parking lot & I'd slept at the Pilot 3 nights in a row. I'm not going anywhere today.
On a side note: I was once stuck at a FlyingJ truck stop in Wyoming bc it snowed 5-6 inches every night. That was really awful for a Floridian like me. So this is nothing. Nevertheless, I see no reason to leave the truck stop. For all of you stuck in bad weather, stay safe.
My Panther truck is parked on the other side of an employee car (it's in one of the photos). It's now starting to ice but my boss told me to stay put. #snowingeorgia #Georgia
